Helmut Scheufele shares his passion for colors, materials and outstanding craftsmanship with Walter Knoll. This can be felt in the Legends of Carpets collection – hand-knotted carpets, inspired by the landscapes and colors of Africa.

The design process began with an inspirational journey. CEO and lead designer of Walter Knoll, Markus Benz, travelled together with Helmut Scheufele to Africa. The people of Marrakesh, Namibia, and Botswana, along with the landscapes and light of these destinations, made a clear and powerful impression on both designers. This crystallized the idea behind the new carpet collection.
